Section for Local Economic Development and European Integration – Partnership group for social development of the City of Bijeljina

Partnership for the development of the City of Bijeljina is an advisory body of the City, appointed by the mayor, and it is the key mechanism of participation of community in managing local development, or an instrument for communication between the citizens and City Administration.
Sectoral partnership group (SPG) for social development, which includes representatives of educational, health and social institutions (Social Welfare Centre), institutions of culture, citizens’ associations active in these areas, especially associations focused on the vulnerable groups and social services, Coordination body for monitoring the implementation of the Development Strategy, media, and the Section for Local Economic Development and European Integration, should focus on the following:
- Monitoring of social trends and changes in local community in order to improve development and satisfaction of related needs of citizens, and proposal of activities to the local government and improvement of procedures;
- Monitoring and assessment of implementation of projects and strategies related to local social development;
- Revising the Development Strategy and plans for its implementation;
- Advisory support to the mayor when making decisions related to social development and development programmes, including the programmes for social inclusion of vulnerable groups;
Cooperation with the Section for Local Economic Development and European Integration and Coordination body for monitoring the implementation of the Development Strategy.
