Annual Implementation Plans of the Strategy
The Local Development Strategy of the City of Bijeljina for the period 2014–2023 (revised for the period 2019–2023) is the key strategic and planning document of the City of Bijeljina, intended to encourage the future growth and development of the community.
The Local Development Strategy covers the social and economic spheres, as well as aspects of environmental protection and spatial enhancement. It was developed as a framework for defining common goals, encouraging local capacities, and responding to the challenges of the city's future development and the overall quality of life.
It is important to emphasize that during 2018, the Local Development Strategy of the City of Bijeljina was revised. The revised strategic document includes a list of priority programs and projects in each sector, which contribute to achieving the set goals through the implementation of operational activities, thereby creating a foundation for the overall implementation of the Strategy.
In the process of revising the Local Development Strategy of the City of Bijeljina, efforts were made to align it with the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. A significant aspect of the revised strategic document is that, through a series of planned projects, special attention has been given to establishing an integrated approach to environmental protection, significantly reducing the risk of natural disasters.
The Annual Implementation Plan of the Local Development Strategy of the City of Bijeljina for 2024 envisions the implementation of 58 projects, as follows: 23 projects in the economic sector (total value: BAM 2,585,390.02),10 projects in the social sector (total value: BAM 2,172,310.94), and 25 projects in the environmental sector (total value: BAM 10,717,214.85).
