Civic initiative for a better quality of life
In order to encourage greater citizen participation in decision-making processes related to improving the quality of life in the City of Bijeljina, a Working Group for Civic Initiatives was formed. This group consists of representatives from the private, public, and civil sectors, as well as youth representatives, within the framework of the Regional Programme on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans (ReLOaD), funded by the EU and implemented by UNDP and the City Administration of the City of Bijeljina. The Working Group proposed three initiatives, and the citizens of Bijeljina decided which one would be implemented.

Method: Online questionnaire and in-person surveying of citizens in the city centre
Instrument: A specially designed questionnaire presenting three proposed initiatives
Survey conducted and analysis performed by:Section for Local Economic Development and European Integration
Survey goal: To select the initiative that will be implemented, thereby enabling citizens to actively participate in the decision-making process
Sample size: 1,225 citizens of Bijeljina
