The industrial zones attract new investors

At the begining of it's building, there were not enough interested investors for the industrial zones in Bijeljina, but it seems that the situation is changing for the better. The Mayor of Bijeljina, Mićo Mićić said that there were two or three significant investors interested in purchasing the land within industrial zones, where they intend to build new facilities.

Within the „Industrial zone 3“, located behind the Agricultural and wholesale center „Knez Ivo od Semberije“, 12 building plots had already been sold where the production and processing facilities were bult by the companies: "Bistrik", "DMG Company", "Europark", "George" "Talum", "HY - POWER - Flex" company "Virtus", "Zorka", "Limar Mile" and others.The City Administration financed building off infrastructure in the Industrial zone – roads, electrical network and water supply system.

Dragan Stanišić, the owner of the company „Virtus“, which currently employes 22 workers said that since 2011, his company has been engaged in the production of aluminum and stretch film, plastic bags, purchase of recyclable materials, paper and foil. The daily production of plastic bags in this company is from 1,5 up to two million. “Virtus” invested around one million BAM (cca. €510.000) in the construction of a new production hall and the purchase of equipment and machinery.

Stanišić said that the City of Bijeljina has strongly ecouraged his and other newly established companies, through reducing constructions and rent taxes and costs and charged them only 20 percent, but also providing to repay the purchased land in a five years period.

Ljubinko Stevanović, executive director of Bijeljina City Directorate for Construction and Development said that the City of Bijeljina has already offered the new building plots within the new „Industrial zone 2“, which is located close to the city bypass, and will be well connected to all highways and infrastructural well equipped. The average price per square meter of building land will be BAM 20 (€ 10,25), while the size and shape of the building plots could be adjusted to the needs of investors, as well as the method of payment of land.

The fee for land equipping for production facilities in the new Industrial zone will be BAM 10.24 (€ 5,25) per square meter, and will be lower than usual fee by 85 percent.

Single building rent will be charged BAM 12 KM (€ 6,15) per square meter of net area of the building, said Stevanović.
