The second phase of the ROMACTED programme in Bijeljina


 
The start of the second phase of the ROMACTED programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Promoting good governance and Roma empowerment at local level, a joint initiative of the European Union and Council of Europe, being implemented in 12 municipalities and cities in BaH, was organised in Sarajevo today with ceremonial signing.
Mayor Ljubiša Petrović attended the signing in Sarajevo.
 
- Within the first phase of the ROMACTED project and the project Housing for Roma 2018-2019 in the City of Bijeljina, an expansion of the low voltage grid was completed for 24 apartments and 6 Roma family apartments were connected to this grid. The total value of this project was BAM 31000, funded by the Council of Europe (BAM 20000) and the City of Bijeljina (BAM 11000) – Petrović reminded.
 
The project will be implemented in 12 municipalities and cities – Kakanj, Visoko, Vukosavlje, Prnjavor, Gradiška, Tuzla, Brčko, Bijeljina, Kalesija, Doboj, Travnik, and Donji Vakuf. Target groups are Roma communities.
